Student blogging can be an excellent way for students to demonstrate their understanding of topics. Some level of differentiation is built right in when students have choice on topics, entry points and media format. Blogging lets you start with basic text/writing and sharing. It also expands to allow the sharing of many different media types and you and students choose.

If you are new to blogging, I suggest you start by using Google’s blogging platform – Blogger. There is also a blog tool available within D2L.
