SCDSB teachers and students have access to some major, multi-purpose tools for technology enabled learning. These include D2L (vLE), Google Apps for Education, Office365 and SCDSBlive. In addition to the four major players, we have access to a wide variety of digital tools through board or provincial licensing. These tools are found lower on this page.

Brightspace by D2L is the provincial Virtual Learning Environment (vLE) for online courses and blended learning courses (face-to-face classes wanting a virtual component to enhance learning and collaboration). Access supports at coursehelp.ca
Google Drive: drive.google.ca
Google Apps for Education (GAFE) includes Google Drive for cloud computing, Google Classroom for virtual class management and collaboration, Google Sites for website creation, Blogger for blogging, Google Maps, YouTube, etc.
Office 365: o365.scdsb.on.ca
Office 365 includes email, Yammer groups, OneNote Class Notebook for collaborative note taking, O365 Video, Sway for creating interactive reports, presentations and digital storytelling, etc.
